We are seeking a visionary and dynamic School Director / Principal for the 2025/26 school year. The ideal candidate will be an experienced educational leader with a deep understanding of the Southeast Houston community, a proven track record in growing and developing schools, and a passion for unlocking the full potential of every student. This role requires a leader who values a positive school culture and climate, excels in data analysis and data-informed decision-making, and demonstrates exceptional networking and relationship-building skills. Note that this position does not include financial management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Vision:

    • Develop and implement a strategic vision for school growth and academic excellence.
    • Inspire and support faculty and staff to create an environment where every student can thrive.
  • Community Engagement & Relationship Building:

    • Leverage knowledge of the Southeast Houston community to build partnerships with local organizations, community leaders, and stakeholders.
    • Foster robust relationships with parents and community members to enhance school support and collaboration.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making:

    • Utilize strong data analysis skills to monitor student performance, identify areas for improvement, and guide instructional strategies.
    • Implement effective school improvement initiatives based on data-informed insights.
  • Culture & Climate Development:

    • Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and supportive school culture that celebrates diversity and encourages high expectations for all students.
    • Lead efforts to maintain a safe, respectful, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Operational Excellence:

    • Oversee daily school operations, ensuring policies and procedures are followed and best practices are implemented.
    • Collaborate with district leaders and other stakeholders to align school goals with broader educational initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • A valid Texas Principal Certificate.
  • A Master’s degree in Education or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Significant experience in school administration with a demonstrated history of driving school growth and development.
  • Proven ability to use data analysis for strategic decision-making and school improvement.
  • Exceptional communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to the belief that all students are capable of achieving excellence, regardless of background.
  • Deep understanding of and connection to the Southeast Houston community.
